Notes:

The game started at 4:00 pm in an attempt to get more fans to attend. It was twilight when Mays got the last out; half of the crowd was gone by the seventh inning.

Mays is now 3-0. McInnis made good catches on foul balls in early innings.

McAvoy threw out four Boston runners at second base.

Red Sox received 11 walks in first 6 innings.
