A Fan’s [DonMehan] Notes: Just left the game here in St. Pete early, since I couldn’t stay. Two observations: Lowe looked very good the last two innings he worked. His sinker was excellent. And Rickey had two singles with one RBI. The first one with a 3-2 count. Also, Nomar hit a hard liner to second base in the third, with the bases loaded that was caught by the SS at his ankle just over the second base bag, that resulted in a double play. And Nomar looked great throwing to first. And Merloni made a nice diving one hop stab in right field that stopped a single from turning into a double. BTW, it’s about 83 here with a nice breeze. I hear it’s snowing in Boston. Is that true?
